Sunday was Matt's aunt's 70th birthday party in southern New Jersey. Matt actually grew up there, and then moved to Pittsburgh when he was 11. He still has a lot of family in the Jersey area. He hasn't been back to his hometown though in a long time (not in the whole time that I've known him, and that's been 8 years). When we got the invite to his aunt's bday party, it was a great opportunity to get to catch up with relatives and to visit his hometown! And now that we're back east, it was only an easy 2.5 hour drive away!

It was really neat to drive around his hometown. It's weird how even though he hasn't been there in so long he still knew his way around. And as we drove around, he kept having all kinds of memories that he hadn't thought about in years.
